Rare Gem Talent School was started by the directors of dyslexia organization, Kenya with aim of providing a solution for learners who have dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties.  At RGTS Individualised Education Programmed (IEP) is developed for each learner and Multisensory method of teaching Orton Gilligham based programme, Aston Index and Audiblox are applied. Assessment is done to each child to determine the present level of performance from where the teachers form the basis of intervention.

Majority of children 70% who attend RGTS have dyslexia. RGTS also cares for children with other neurological difficulties like autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy and regular learners. Occupational Therapy is offered to cater for children with special needs.

RGTS is a both boys and Girls Day and Boarding Primary school offering 8-4-4 Education System situated in Kitengela, Kajiado County on Baraka Road.


Children with dyslexia often fail to find places in Secondary schools because of the poor marks attained in the national examination.

In 2016, candidates from Rare Gem Talent School were faced with same predicament after completing class 8. Rare Gem Talent Secondary school was born.  We focus on identifying and developing the talents.

We understanding that it is important for any child to experience the secondary school life.  At Rare Gem, we offer that opportunity to children who otherwise would not have stepped in a high school.  In addition to the curriculum, we endevour to identify the strength in every student and help them make a career out of their talent.
